Today, November 12, 2008, I stopped to make some coffee at Emory Pass (9k ft) and I found this table and rest area. Back in my Jesuit days at Xavier University I remember reading a passage from the Philosophy of Francis of Assisi where he went into great detail explaining that silence was the voice of God. Today I sat at this spot and listened to the powerful silence for several hours. I think Frank was onto something.
